A little bit tired this morning, Noah has been up all night with a cold so he’s staying home from school today to rest. We just came back from the flower markets , my favourite way to start the weekend…

Theo started first grade this week. They had such a beautiful welcome at Rietberg Montessori Bilingual School on Monday. First they had a “light ceremony” where a candle was lit for each child to symbolize the light that the new student would bring to the class. After that they all got an older partner (in Montessori they have mixed-age classes) to team up with and together they wrote down a wish each and then tied it to a balloon that they all released into the sky! Theo and I had a nice, early breakfast together at Sprüngli before walking to school together for his first day…

Here are some photos from last week. Summer was amazing but it’s also good to be back in Zurich, even though the weather hasn’t been great. So nice to see friends again and be back in our apartment. Oh and our good friends Andrew and Michael from Sydney came to visit last Saturday!

On Thursday night my friend and neighbour (and also the owner of Rotwand Gallery) Bettina, had a ‘post-holidays party’ at her place. Amazing food and so much champagne, we stopped counting after 18 bottles… Thanks again for a fantastic evening!

First weekend back in Zurich after the summer holidays. We haven’t seen our good friends and neighbours Mireille and Gaudenz for the whole summer and since the boys all play so well together we ended up hanging out the whole weekend. Dinner and playdate on Friday, lunch and markets at Viaduct on Saturday and watching the marathon today… Can’t wait to catch up with our other Zurich friends soon too, it’s good to be back!
